Michelle Wright, Strategic Consultant, co-presents "Beyond Pay: Building a Clinician Value Proposition in a Changing Healthcare Environment" at the 2026 MGMA Annual Conference, which runs from September 27 to 30.

As provider organizations respond to changing technology, payor and regulatory demands, and evolving market dynamics, keeping providers connected to the operational, administrative, and leadership functions that support the practice of medicine is an increasing challenge.

This session explores a real-world case study on designing and operationalizing a clinician value proposition to support organizational growth, strengthen clinician affiliation, and improve alignment between enterprise strategy and the day-to-day clinician experience.

Participants will follow the initiative from end-to-end, beginning with identifying the underlying organizational challenges and conducting extensive data gathering to understand the drivers affecting clinician experience, engagement, recruitment, and retention. These insights informed the development of an enterprise clinician value proposition designed to strengthen organizational alignment while preserving local culture, physician leadership voice, and the flexibility needed to support diverse markets and practice environments. Local provider and operations leaders played a central role in shaping and implementing the approach in each region.

This session offers practical lessons, implementation strategies, and leadership insights for organizations seeking to build and sustain clinician affiliation at scale.
