Epstein Becker Green and EBG Advisors announce the eighth webinar in a series focusing on emerging trends in population health. The next session—entitled “How Will ‘Big Data’ Impact Population Health Management?”—will examine the rise of big data and other innovative computational methods. The speakers will explain how these tools and applications are being leveraged to promote better clinical and financial outcomes for patients, providers, and payors.
During this webinar, panelists will discuss:
- The proliferation of health care data sources and linkage strategies
- Identify opportunities to generate actionable information to best treat and coordinate care
- Showcase examples from individual therapy areas, including acute coronary syndrome, where data challenges and opportunities are being assessed to improve outcomes.
The summer webinar series will dive into key aspects of the emerging population health paradigm, addressing big data and IT integration issues, patient engagement strategies, and population health strategies for employer-based coverage. Sessions will also be held in July and August.
“This webinar series attempts to find some common ground for health care professionals and other health care stakeholders by identifying best practices and creating a call to action for collaboration and outcomes improvement nationwide,” says Mark Lutes, session moderator and chair of Epstein Becker Green’s Board of Directors. “From the Affordable Care Act and data analytics to advancement in health IT systems, a number of factors are having a significant impact on the health care delivery system.”
